gout ɡout/ noun
1. a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, especially in the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalkstones, and episodes of acute pain.
Is the buildup of uric acid in the joints which is usually in the toes or ankles. but can hit any joint. causing severe pain.
my dad has suffered with gout for many years..but doesn’t like commercial medicine…in a pinch I made up this recipe and it only took two doses to relieve it.
7 juniper berries crushed
1/4 a cup milk thistle leaves dried
1/4 cup nettle leaves dried
mix well together, only put the amount of herb that will fit in a teaball (roughly a tablespoon) into cup of boiling water, let stand for 10 minutes. sift out herb. and drink before cools completely…
I must warn you juniper berries are powerful internal cleansers and if taken to much can make you very sick! only take as needed, do not take this recipe lightly. it is abused at your own risk.
only take a max of 3 doses a day.. and only for 2 days hopefully spread out over a week if you can..stop taking it when gout clears up.
the idea is all 3 herbs are powerful internal cleansers of the body, thus cleansing out the excess acids as well..
I have heard apple cider vinegar is just as effective. however did not have access to it at the time.only plants I can gather in the boral forest.
